Australian Catholic Religious Against Trafficking in Humans (ACRATH)

CRA endorses ACRATH, an organisation committed to working together to eliminate human trafficking in Australia, the Pacific and internationally.  It also provides professional and administrative support to ACRATH’s National Committee.

Religious women and men from many different congregations work for ACRATH and are represented on ACRATH’s National Committee and on State Groups.  Brigidine Maree Marsh csb is Chair of the ACRATH’s National Committee.

ACRATH raises awareness, shares information and builds networks nationally and globally on the issue of human trafficking. It also facilitates action at pastoral and structural levels to combat and prevent human rights violations relating to human trafficking.

ACRATH provides education on human trafficking through a variety of materials and resources and provides counselling, rehabilitation and reintegration programs for people who have been trafficked.  Another focus is on collaborating with government and non-government groups and individuals.
