CRA Australian Mission Network

CRA’s Australian Mission Network (AMN) comprises seven Religious whose congregations’ main focus is mission work in Australia and overseas. Once defined in territorial terms, mission is now understood as a basic attitude of the Church wherever it is in reaching out to proclaim God’s saving presence in the world.

The members of AMN meet bi-monthly by teleconference with a representative from Catholic Mission.  Catholic Mission is the Australian arm of the Catholic Church’s global mission aid agency, which is part of a world-wide network of Pontificial Mission Societies.

As well as sharing ideas and information, this group organises lecture series on key areas of mission and on topics such as inter-religious dialogue.  The group is working with Catholic Mission and other agencies on a national conference on global mission which will be held in Australia in May 2013.
