from the CRA President: The Power of the Word
 ... The Word of God is mystery.  It calls forth from us a profound faith ...  As the Religious of Australia may we together continue to grow in confidence, in the power of the Word of God at work and in our lives as we seek to express our fundamental commitment to justice, peace and integrity of creation for our church and for our world.
 
The Sisters of St Joseph have established co-operatives in Peru which train and equip women in producing accessories for sale in Australia.

In contrast to the USA and France, Australia, like Canada, has a moderate and balanced religion-state relationship.
 
The profile is changing quite quickly. Catholicism is growing, but not as fast as the whole population. This trend will continue for some time driven by the migration of Catholic minorities from Iraq, the Balkans, India, Sri Lanka as well as Indonesia and Malaysia.
The greying Australian parish is currently struggling. How much do Catholics feel that they are part of the Australian Catholic Church and their parish?
