PASTORAL CARE ASSISTANT, Calvary, Canberra
Calvary Salary Band B or Stipend $40,834 - $48,230 (full-time rate)
 
Our well-regarded Pastoral Care team offers a fulfilling opportunity for a pastoral care assistant.  In this role, you will assist in providing pastoral care support to patients, families and staff. As a member of an interfaith team, you will assist in the preparation at prayer, in record keeping and attendance at clinical team meetings. This position includes participating in a rotating roster, including on call weekends and public holidays.

PASTORAL ASSOCIATE,  Parish of Raymond Terrace, Newcastle
24 hrs per week
 
The Catholic Parish of Raymond Terrace invites applications for the position of Pastoral Associate.  You will be an integral part of the parish leadership team, working collaboratively with the parish priest and the ministry groups in pursuing our vision to be a vital, caring and welcoming community, living the Gospel of Jesus in word and action.
 
You will be responsible for: supporting the Parish Priest in the areas of liturgy, formation, pastoral care and administration; advising and assisting with the preparation and implementation of parish activities, and supporting the work of the parish ministry groups.
 
You will need to demonstrate, an understanding of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, and a commitment to the ministry and ethos of the Catholic faith
effective communication and high level interpersonal skills.
 
The successful applicant will ideally have undertaken some theological study, and previous experience of pastoral support work would be an advantage.

MISSION / PASTORAL CARE CO-ORDINATOR,  Mackay Mater Hospital
February - September 2008
 
In 2008, between February and September, the Mission/Pastoral Care Co-coordinator at the Mackay Mater Hospital will be on a sabbatical. If you are looking for a sea change maybe you would be interested in coming to beautiful Mackay in Central Queensland to minister in a new facility which has 105 beds including Coronary Care/High Dependency, Medical, Surgical, Maternity which includes Children, and Palliative Care Wards.  The Pastoral Care team consists of three Permanent Part Time members (of whom the Co-ordinator is one), and two members who work on a casual basis.
