Ayr, a town in northern Queensland, has 'produced' four of the leaders who attended Assembly 2007. They are (from left)
Sr Marie Melville RSM (Leader, Sisters of Mercy, Townsville Diocese),
Abbot David Tomlins OCSO (Cistercian, Tarrawarra Abbey, near Melbourne),
Sr Mary Franzmann PBVM (Queensland Provincial of the Presentation Sisters, Brisbane) and
Sr Carmel Pattinson SGS (holds a leadership position with the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, Brisbane). Each was educated by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan, in Ayr.
