Catholic Religious Australia, the public name of the Australian Conference of Leaders of Religious Institutes (ACLRI), is the peak body for all Religious in Australia, and is open to all leaders of Religious Institutes and Societies of apostolic life resident in Australia.
Its purpose is to promote, support and represent Religious life in the Australian Church. It facilitates coordination and cooperation of Religious with Church bodies and, where relevant, with other authorities.
Catholic Religious Australia was established by the authority of the Holy See. Its Council comprises representatives elected by the State Conferences of Leaders of Religious Institutes as well as members elected by the leaders in their National Assembly. The President is elected by the National Assembly.
